On his two-day stay in Pirot, His Exellency the Ambassador of Canada in Belgrade, Philip Pinnington paid a visit to Tigar a.d. During this visit, he was familiarized with the company’s potentials and toured the Footwear factory as well as Technical Goods factory. Following a detailed review of and familiarization with the products, the Canadian Ambassador, Philip Pinnington stated that he was astonished with Tigar’s products and that there existed a good basis for improving business cooperation with his country. In the delegation that visited Tigar was the executive director of CANSEE Canadian-Serbian Business Association Mirjana Dončić – Beaton believes that foreign trade can be improved considering the fact that there is a growing interest in investment in Serbia among Canadian businessmen. During this visit the CEO of Tigar a.d. Branislav Čurić pointed at the fact that business cooperation between Tigar and Canada had existed in the field of mining, but that it certainly could be expanded to other fields as well.

After visiting company Tigar, the delegation also toured Free Zone Pirot.
